A poem from an old British film 'carve her name with pride'
nunia
The life that i have is all that i have
And the life that I have is yours
The love that I have of the life that i have
Is yours and yours and yours

The sleep I shall have
The rest I shall have
Yet death will be but a pause
For all my years under the long green grass
Will be yours and yours and yours.

or something like that. I remembered it well from the British film 'carve her name with pride' that we watched in my boarding school in Shanghai when i was a teen.

I don't buy Satre's philosophy in general and of love in particular. Simple devotion and fidelity has far more saving power than sophisticated free love and other -isms.
