What a co-incident, we went into a long discussion about the duality of particle and wave and also string theory, Einstein's general relativity and his failure at unifying the large and small fields etc etc just last night between myself and an IBM consultant from Indian. His name is Arunava Majumdar.

But what really moved me last night is reading Arunava's poem about the death of a girl he loved. 'Au Revoir, Regina'

Au Revoir Regina

Unfinished canvases in a desolate attic,
Five-string guitar and withered white roses,
The moon smiles a satanic sarcastic smile
Through the window sill;
Unforgettable memories haunting my dreams -
Your balmy touch and your soft lips,
'N' the wonderful wealth of violet emotions,
That we shared from within;
Unforgiven be those who pose with flowers -
A nuptial knot and a zonum solvere,
Then beaten bare in this barren world of burning desire:
Destined for a burning pyre.

But my love ever shall stay -
Caste away in a curved, chaste, crested chest -
Unknown and undaunted, unperturbed and unflaunted -
For the days that still remain
For our celestial rendezvous.
Au revoir Mona! Au revoir.

[title] “Au Revoir Regina” [pers.] There she stood, my beautiful Mona, like a specter in my dreams whom only I could see but not touch, for she was gone far away from me. No longer was she in my life, nor was she alive. She had to marry someone else, and she had to die. A death that was never meant for her, a death, like any other victims who were severed by the brutal downy system. This poem was an expression of heart-piercing sorrow on the assassination of the reigning queen of my heart and dedicated to all those who died a similar death
